Date of Observation: 01/19/2011
Time: 1:30 P.M.
Location Description: Walking trail at Genesys Hospital.
While walking alone on the trail directly south of the hospital and North of Baldwin Rd. at first started noticing unusual prints in the snow. Many people walk dogs there but these prints didn't have claw marks like the one's that I always see. I thought it was strange but brushed it aside and kept walking. A couple minutes later I rounded a corner and had a weird feeling. I always try to be aware of my surroundings as there are many wild animals in this area such as deer and coyotees. As I scanned up ahead of me I saw something walking acro ss the snow approximately 100 yards in front of me. At first thought it was a deer but then I saw something made made me stop dead in my tracks! It was dark brown cat about the size of a lab only longer in length and it had a long thick tail that went down to the ground.I have 2 house cat's and this was definatly too large and know what a deer, coyotee, and bobcat look like in the wild. I know what I saw!
