Location Description: Off Garrison Rd. between State Rd. and Scribner Rd.
Sighting Description:
I turned on to Garrison Rd. off State Rd. at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009. In the road in front of me I saw an animal walking. It stopped to look at me as my car approached. At first I thought the neighbor's German Shephard had gotten loose and traveled down to that end of the road, or wondered if perhaps it was a fox, although the coloring seemed off for a fox. However, as the animal turned I realized it was much more feline in looks with a long tail. Its coloring appeared brown-grey, darker near the spine and growing lighter towards the underbelly. I would have guessed it to be approximately 22-27 inches tall. I did not notice stripes or spots on the fur. The animal headed north into a cornfield on the north side of Garrison Rd. |
