Reported 6/6/2007
"There is an abandonded cottage on the river behind my house which sits down a hill on the Huron River. I looked out the kitchen window and saw what I thought was a dog on the chimney. I thought "how did a dog get on that chimney?". I am a birder so I have my binoculars close by and looked through them to discover that it was a mountain lion!! I also have my camera close by and grabbed that, walked out the back door and just pointed it in the general direction and took the shot. All I got was the hind end of the cat jumping down off the chimney. I don't think he was trying to get anything out of the chimney. He was just standing on top of it, looking up-river.
Attached is the photo of the mountain lion. Please let me know what you think. The time-stamp is off a little. The photo was taken at 7:00 p.m. on June 6th."
It's a little late for those to be dandelions, so are they clovers?
Skeptics, here's your bread and butter.....

Color's right, tail looks right, but too far away and I don't have any way to compare the cat with the trees to judge size. Maybe someone can do this. Be prepared for debunkers to say it's a house cat without doing any photo analysis to determine the relative size and distance measurements. _________________ John W. Castle
