|Bay County, Michigan - cougar sighting.
Reported Mon, Oct 3, 2011 at 10:33 AM to www.savethecougar.org
Date of Observation: October 2, 2011
Time: 1:30 A.M.
Location Description: My back yard which is approximately 250 ft. south of the intersection of Salzburg and Four Mile Rd.
I was awake at 1:30 A.M. on October 2, 2011 when our back yard motion light went on. I walked into the great room (next to our bedroom) and looked out the sliding glass door expecting to see a deer or rabbit. Instead, a very large cat creature came from the bushes and walked toward our small pond. It continued to walk behind the waterfall and along the stream--a distance of about 30-35 ft. I was totally amazed at what I saw. I walked south in our house and went into ou r small bathroom. The cougar disappeared heading south. I was so shocked that I did not even think about trying to get my camera.
